Colorado's Hunter goes bowling with Henry Blackburn after violent hit

Colorado star Travis Hunter has no ill will toward Colorado State defensive back Henry Blackburn after the latter's controversial hit left the Buffaloes' receiver with a lacerated liver.

Hunter and Blackburn spent Wednesday bowling together, a Colorado State spokesperson told ESPN's Adam Rittenberg.

Blackburn delivered a crushing hit to Hunter's midsection down the sideline during the Colorado-Colorado State meeting on Sept. 16. The Buffaloes' star was hospitalized and hasn't played since. He was ruled out for Colorado's upcoming match against USC on Saturday.

Colorado star coach Deion Sanders and Hunter both stood up for Blackburn after the Rams' defensive back received death threats in response to the hit.

“He made a tremendous hit on Travis on the sideline," Sanders said earlier this month. "You could call it dirty, you could call it he was just playing the game of football. But whatever it was, it does not constitute that he should be receiving death threats."

Hunter previously said: "He did what he was supposed to do. It’s football. Something bad is going to happen on the field sooner or later."

Hunter and Blackburn each donated money for Wednesday's bowling match, which will go up on the former's Youtube page, per Rittenberg. The winner will give the money to a charity of his choice.
