RJ Barrett and Zion Williamson's summer league debuts became an afterthought after a 7.1 magnitude earthquake in California shook the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas during Friday's matchup between the New Orleans Pelicans and New York Knicks.

Play was suspended in the fourth quarter as tremors in the building caused the scoreboard and speakers over the court to sway.

Both teams were sent to their locker rooms, and the following matchup between the Phoenix Suns and Denver Nuggets was also postponed.

Though it was initially announced inside the Thomas & Mack Center that both games would be made up, the NBA later confirmed that only the Suns-Nuggets contest will be made up at a later date. The Pelicans were awarded an 80-74 victory, the score at the time of the earthquake.

The game between the San Antonio Spurs and Orlando Magic at Las Vegas' Cox Pavilion was also called early, with the Magic awarded a 75-59 victory.

A WNBA game between the hometown Las Vegas Aces and the Washington Mystics was also suspended due to the earthquake.
