The Phoenix City Council has approved a deal with the Phoenix Suns that will keep the NBA team at Talking Stick Resort Arena through at least 2037.
Council voted 6-2 to approve the $230-million deal, according to the Arizona Republic's Jessica Boehm.
Details of the plan were first released in December, causing some backlash among Phoenix residents.
Talking Stick Resort Arena is one of the NBA's oldest facilities, built in 1992.
