Early this season, everything seemed to be going right for the Toronto Blue Jays. It felt like this might be the year they finally put 20-plus years of frustration and disappointment behind them and made it back to the postseason. It was weird.
Of course, order has since been restored to the baseball universe. (Okay, the Yankees and Red Sox still stink, but it's a start.) This here is the kind of karmic misfortune the Jays faithful are more accustomed to. Two outs, bases loaded, three-run lead. Mark Buehrle toes the rubber, settles in, gets the sign, and then does this:

It's ruled a balk. A run scores and the other runners move up to second and third. Buehrle actually manages to throw his next pitch, but it's knocked back up the middle for a two-run single. Tie game.
Now these are the Blue Jays we know and love. It's nice to have them back.
