New York Yankees left-hander Max Fried exited Wednesday's game against the Baltimore Orioles after three innings with left elbow posterior soreness, the team announced.

The southpaw will undergo imaging Thursday, according to Jack Curry of YES Network.
"I'm not too worried about a super long-term thing," Fried said following the Yankees' 7-0 loss to the Orioles, according to MLB.com's Bryan Hoch.
"If I can, I would love to be able to make my next start, but we'll see."
Fried allowed three runs on five hits over three innings of work before being replaced by Paul Blackburn. Fried gave up five earned runs in six frames against the Milwaukee Brewers on May 8, his most recent outing prior to Wednesday.
The 32-year-old finished fourth in AL Cy Young voting last season after signing an eight-year, $218-million deal with the Yankees in December 2024.
In addition to Fried, New York's rotation includes Cam Schlittler, Will Warren, Ryan Weathers, and Carlos Ródon, who rejoined the Yankees last weekend.
Right-hander Gerrit Cole is also nearing a return from elbow surgery. He's made five rehab starts in the minors.
