White Sox drop 20th in a row, nearing MLB futility record
The Chicago White Sox tied the third-longest losing streak in MLB history after dropping their 20th straight game in a 13-7 loss to the Minnesota Twins on Sunday.
Chicago (27-87) is three consecutive losses away from matching the 1961 Philadelphia Phillies' Modern Era record (since 1900) of 23 straight defeats.

The White Sox have been swept by the Pittsburgh Pirates, Texas Rangers, Seattle Mariners, Kansas City Royals (twice), and Twins during the stretch.
"At the end of the day, we've lost 20 in a row. That's painful. That sucks," manager Pedro Grifol said, according to Tyler Mason of The Associated Press.
"We've just got to find a way to put that behind us and go out there and be professionals and do what we have to do tomorrow."
The team is 0-16 following the All-Star break and is on pace to lose 124 games, which would surpass the modern-day single-season record of 120 losses set by the New York Mets in 1962.
Chicago travels to Oakland next for a three-game series against the Athletics.
