One day after wearing an incredible "I Ain't Afraid of no Goat" to Wrigley Field for Game 1 of the National League Division Series, actor Bill Murray returned for Game 2 to cheer on his beloved Chicago Cubs against the San Francisco Giants.
Murray was spotted pumping up the crowd during the contest which featured a two-RBI single from pitcher Kyle Hendricks, and a solo home run from reliever Travis Wood to give the Cubs a 5-2 win over their opposition from the West coast.
Murray, a die-hard Cubs fan who paid homage to Ernie Banks by naming one of his six children Homer Banks Murray, proclaimed this past June the Cubs would win the World Series in 2016.
"This is the year. I think you know that. I think we all know that. The folks at home know that, the American people know that," Murray said. "This is the year. They're really having a lot of fun, they're just having so much fun. It started last year. They weren't quite ready to win it all last year, but gosh they had fun, and they're really having fun now. And they have an amazing amount of talent put together here."
