The Minnesota Twins acquired left-hander A.J. Minter from the New York Mets in exchange for Bruin Agbayani and Billy Amick, the teams announced Friday.
Minter owns a 2.35 ERA with 7.8 K/9 over 23 appearances this season. The reliever is a pending free agent after joining New York on a two-year, $22-million deal in January 2025.
The 32-year-old has a career 3.18 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and 10.7 K/9 over 10 years with the Mets and Atlanta Braves.
Agbayani, whom MLB Pipeline ranked as the No. 29 prospect in the Twins' minor-league system, is the son of former longtime Mets outfielder Benny Agbayani. The 19-year-old has suited up in just 10 Single-A contests in 2026.
Amick has hit 23 homers with 72 RBIs and an .820 OPS over 86 games in Double-A this season. The 23-year-old was Minnesota's No. 21 prospect.
