UConn star Sarah Strong won this year's Wooden Award on Friday as the most outstanding women's college basketball player.

Strong joins Maya Moore, Paige Bueckers, and JuJu Watkins as the only underclassmen to win the Wooden Award since it was established for women in 2004, according to Emily Adams of The Hartford Courant.

The 6-foot-2 forward is the fifth woman in school history to win the Wooden Award.

Strong edged out teammate Azzi Fudd, UCLA's Lauren Betts, Vanderbilt's Mikayla Blakes, and Texas' Madison Booker.

Strong averaged 18.4 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 3.4 steals, and 1.6 blocks en route to leading the Huskies to another Final Four berth.

The 20-year-old was also the AP Player of the Year, Big East Defensive Player of Year, and a first-team All-American.
