Here are the top sleeper picks for Tuesday, January 5:

C Alex Burmistrov, Jets (at Predators)

Burmistrov's NHL return has been rather unimpressive with just three goals and nine points through 39 games. He's averaging 15:37 of ice time on the season, but that number has jumped up to 18:45 over his past five games. He has a goal, an assist and eight shots on goal in that span.

He plays on the Jets' third line with Adam Lowry and Joel Armia, but he gets to play with Mark Scheifele and Drew Stafford on the team's second power-play unit. The Predators have allowed at least three goals in four of their past five games, betraying their typically stout defensive style.

W Johan Larsson, Sabres (vs. Flames)

Larsson has just four points in 36 games, but his average ice time has increased from 13:19 for the season to 15:02 over his past three games, and he has five SOG in his past two. He's currently centering a Sabres third line that features talented and proven wingers Matt Moulson and Marcus Foligno.

The Flames have lost two straight games, and they've allowed at least three goals in four of their past six. They're a dismal 6-11-2 on the road this season, with only the Edmonton Oilers having fewer road wins.

D Dmitry Orlov, Capitals (at Bruins)

Orlov is scoreless in his past six games, but he has seven SOG over his past three. He's played a minimum of 20 minutes in each of those games, and he occasionally sees time on the Capitals' second power-play unit.

The Bruins have taken 150 minor penalties this season, tied for seventh-most in the league. They rank in the bottom half of the league in power-play goals allowed and welcome the league's second best power-play unit into Boston.

G Anton Forsberg, Blue Jackets (vs. Wild)

With injuries to Gs Sergei Bobrovsky and Curtis McElhinney, Forsberg is expected to start Tuesday. He's made just one NHL relief appearance this season, stopping all six shots he faced. He rejoined the Blue Jackets after posting a .900 save percentage and a 2.60 goals against average in 21 appearances for the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL.

The Wild come into this one with just three goals over their past two road games. They've exceeded two goals in just two of their past six games. Forsberg will be difficult to trust, but his price is low enough to warrant a flier in GPPs.
