The Vancouver Canucks named Daniel and Henrik Sedin as co-presidents of hockey operations and Ryan Johnson as general manager, the team announced Thursday.

The Sedin twins are first and second on the Canucks' all-time scoring list and have been development coaches for the organization since 2022. The two were special assistants to the GM during the 2021-22 campaign. Both of them were inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2022.

Johnson has been the GM of Vancouver's AHL affiliate since 2017 and has held various roles with the Canucks since joining the franchise in 2013-14, including an assistant GM position for the past two seasons. The Abbotsford Canucks won the AHL championship in 2024-25. Johnson has worked under three different general managers in Vancouver.

The 49-year-old played 13 seasons in the NHL, amassing 122 points in 701 games. He spent two seasons with Vancouver as a player (2008-10).

Vancouver fired GM Patrik Allvin in April, and president of hockey operations Jim Rutherford will move into an advisory role after the entry draft in June.

The Canucks finished last in the NHL this season with a 25-49-8 record. They'll select third overall in the draft after falling back in the lottery, marking Vancouver's highest pick since choosing the Sedins at second and third in 1999.
