The sweaters, which leaked in August, feature a "C" similar to the one found on the Colorado state flag. They also resemble the jerseys worn by the NHL's Colorado Rockies from 1976-1982.
The Avalanche will sport the new duds for the first time Oct. 24 against the Columbus Blue Jackets, and they will be worn 13 other times this season.
