The Montreal Canadiens didn't make it easy, but their road victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Wednesday gave the franchise something it hasn't seen in over 30 years.
Max Pacioretty scored twice and P.K. Subban also tallied in a 3:53 span in the third period to give the Canadiens a 3-2 victory, extending their road winning streak to six games for the first time since 1982.
All of Montreal's goals were scored on the power play as the Canadiens were afforded a season-high seven opportunities with the man advantage.
