The New York Rangers and free-agent forward Eeli Tolvanen agreed to a one-year contract, the team announced Wednesday.
The deal is worth $1.5 million, according to PuckPedia.
Tolvanen recorded 12 goals and 24 assists in 78 games with the Seattle Kraken last season. He scored a career-high 23 goals in 2024-25.
The 27-year-old has posted strong defensive metrics the past few years.
Tolvanen's also quite physical despite being listed at 5-foot-10 and 182 pounds. He dished out 187 hits last season and a career-high 237 the year prior.
He projects to fill a middle-six forward role for a Rangers squad that's also added Pavel Dorofeyev and Oliver Bjorkstrand up front this offseason as well as Sean Durzi and Marcus Pettersson on defense.
