The St. Louis Blues locked up forward Connor McMichael with a six-year deal carrying an average annual value of $6.75 million, the team announced Thursday.

McMichael, a restricted free agent, was set to have an arbitration hearing July 25.

In June, the Blues acquired McMichael, prospect Milton Gastrin, and the No. 16 pick in the 2026 draft as part of the trade that sent Jordan Kyrou to the Washington Capitals. St. Louis then flipped the No. 16 pick to help land Mason McTavish from the Anaheim Ducks.

McMichael tallied 14 goals and 46 points in 78 games with the Capitals last season. He set career highs of 26 goals and 57 points in 2024-25. The 25-year-old is capable of playing both center and wing, but he figures to play the wing in St. Louis given the club's plethora of center options.

The Capitals drafted McMichael 25th overall in 2019.
