Sharks' Nedeljkovic allows 2 all-time ugly goals to gift Golden Knights OT win
To say it was night to forget for Alex Nedeljkovic would be a massive understatement.
The San Jose Sharks netminder allowed two horrendous goals to gift the Vegas Golden Knights an improbable comeback victory Thursday.
In the waning minutes of the third period with the Sharks leading 3-2, Nedeljkovic misplayed Jack Eichel's dump-in attempt from center ice to allow the Golden Knights to tie the game - just moments after William Eklund failed to convert on the empty net.

But it somehow got worse from there.
Just over two minutes into overtime, Nedeljkovic came out to play the puck near the blue line, but he turned it over, allowing Reilly Smith to score the easiest OT winner imaginable.

Nedeljkovic got the nod for San Jose's season opener after the Sharks acquired him from the Pittsburgh Penguins for a third-round pick in the offseason.
