The Baltimore Ravens released veteran defensive end Chris Canty on Friday.
Canty spent the past two seasons with the Ravens, after previous stints with the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants.
The 10th-year pro recorded 33 tackles and one forced fumble.
Canty helped the Giants capture Super Bowl XLVI in a victory over the New England Patriots.
Entering free agency, Canty would be an ideal fit in a 3-4 scheme for teams who are looking for a run-stopper.
