After 15 years in the NFL, former Washington Redskins and Denver Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey will announce his retirement, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Bailey will go down as one of the most dominant defensive backs of his era, finishing his career with 52 interceptions and 12 Pro Bowl appearances.

The impressive stats and accolades aside, Bailey's legacy will be the consistent place he held among the NFL's most feared cornerbacks over the course of his career.

Bailey should find himself in the Pro Football Hall of Fame before long, and quite possibly as a first-ballot candidate when eligible five years from now.
