There's no doubt Sammy Watkins was the player the Buffalo Bills wanted most in the draft.

In a video posted to the Bills' official website, Bills director of player personnel Jim Monos reveals his team tried to make a trade up all the way to the Houston Texans' No. 1 overall selection. After being rebuffed by Houston, the Bills then worked their way down the draft order until they found a willing trade partner in the Cleveland Browns at No. 4.

The revelation adds more weight to the notion that the Bills are "all-in" on 2013 first-round pick EJ Manuel - and all-in on making the playoffs this season, something the team hasn't accomplished since 1999.

The Bills paid a very hefty price to move up to No. 4 for Watkins, surrendering 2015 first- and fourth-round picks in addition to No. 9 overall. If Watkins isn't a superstar, the men who made the bold call to trade up will likely be looking for new jobs.
