Buccaneers sign linebacker Christian Rozeboom, adding another starter on defense
TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Christian Rozeboom signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday, giving the team another experienced starting linebacker.
The 29-year-old Rozeboom is coming off his best season in the NFL. He started 15 games for Carolina last year, had 122 tackles, including seven for loss, two sacks, one interception, forced one fumble and recovered one.
Rozeboom was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Rams in 2020 and spent that season on the practice squad. He played part of 2021 with the Chiefs and returned Los Angeles through 2024. He started 11 games and had 135 tackles with the Rams in ’24.
The Buccaneers previously signed linebacker Alex Anzalone the first week of free agency. Anzalone has been a longtime starter.
Tampa Bay is waiting on veteran Lavonte David to decide whether he’s returning for a 15th season or retiring.
