The Carolina Panthers are signing cornerback Jaycee Horn to a four-year extension, the team announced.
Horn's contract is worth $25 million per season and includes $70 million guaranteed, making him the highest-paid defensive back in NFL history, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Horn surpassed Miami Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey's average of $24.1 million to take the top spot, according to Over The Cap.
A top-10 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Horn earned his first Pro Bowl invite last season after recording one interception and 13 pass defenses across 15 starts.
The 25-year-old has grabbed five interceptions over 37 career starts.
