Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill is inactive for Sunday's game versus the Chicago Bears due to a shoulder injury. Brock Osweiler will start in his place.

Tannehill practiced Wednesday and Thursday but was surprisingly downgraded to limited participation on Friday. The quarterback's shoulder has reportedly bothered him since Miami's Week 4 loss to the New England Patriots.

Osweiler signed a one-year contract with the Dolphins in March. He spent last season with the Denver Broncos, his second stint with the team, and also previously played for the Houston Texans. Houston traded Osweiler to the Cleveland Browns in 2017 just one year after signing the quarterback to a now-infamous $72-million deal, but he was released by Cleveland before the season began.

The former second-round pick has accumulated 21 touchdowns and 21 interceptions over the last three campaigns.
