New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson is expected to miss multiple weeks after he suffered a high ankle sprain in Sunday's win over the Las Vegas Raiders, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The injury reportedly doesn't require surgery. The Patriots hope the running back will return sooner than later due to his reputation as a quick healer, Schefter adds.
The 23-year-old Henderson has been unable to replicate his 2025 rookie form. He's averaged 3.9 yards per carry this season with 163 yards on 42 attempts, a significant decline from the 5.1 yards per attempt he averaged last year.
Henderson also missed the first game of the season due to an ankle injury.
Rhamondre Stevenson has been the Patriots' lead running back this year with 57 carries for 227 yards.
