Texans' Foreman denies illegally possessing drugs, gun after arrest
The lawyer for Houston Texans running back D'Onta Foreman released a statement Sunday denying that his client was guilty of a crime after Foreman's arrest on drug and weapon charges.
Jail records show Foreman was arrested early Sunday by University of Texas police and charged with marijuana possession of two ounces or less and unlawfully carrying a weapon.
Foreman's lawyer acknowledged the arrest, but said the gun Foreman was carrying was legally obtained and stored inside Foreman's vehicle, and that the marijuana in the vehicle was in the possession of a passenger and not Foreman.
