Report: Conley won't speak to police until after draft

Ohio State cornerback prospect Gareon Conley, who's been accused of rape, won't get the chance to clear his name with Cleveland police until Monday, two days after the 2017 NFL Draft has concluded, according to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora.

Conley has adamantly denied the allegations, but has elected to leave Philadelphia for draft week and not attend the event starting Thursday.

He was projected to be a top-15 pick before the allegations arose, but unless teams can guarantee his innocence, he's in danger of going undrafted. Without being able to speak with police before the draft, his chances of being cleared before Thursday are very low.

Conley was accused of raping a 23-year-old woman in a Cleveland hotel room with two friends on April 9. No charges have been filed.
