TCU came all the way back to stun Oregon Saturday night, prevailing 47-41 in triple overtime to win the Alamo Bowl.
Oregon raced out to a 31-point first-half lead, and looked invincible. The Ducks did whatever they wanted offensively, while TCU backup Bram Kohlhausen - stepping in for suspended starter Trevone Boykin - struggled, completing only nine passes.
However, after Ducks quarterback Vernon Adams left the game in the second quarter with an apparent head injury, Oregon couldn't move the ball. TCU seemed to find its game at halftime, storming back to force overtime and ultimately win.
Here's what you need to know:
- Despite the shaky first half, Kohlhausen completed 28 of 45 passes for 351 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for 45 yards and two more scores, including the game-winning touchdown.
- Prior to leaving the game with an injury, Adams completed 13 of 19 for 197 yards and one touchdown.
- The 31-point comeback win ties a bowl record. Texas Tech rallied from the same deficit to beat Minnesota in the 2006 Insight Bowl.
- Oregon running back Royce Freeman broke the single-season school rushing record, previously held by LaMichael James. He had 26 carries for 130 yards and three touchdowns in the game.
- The Ducks gained only 18 second-half yards in regulation.
- TCU's Aaron Green rushed for 101 yards on 25 carries, scoring one touchdown.
- Oregon also lost center Matt Hegarty early in the game. Backup Doug Brenner had a tough time, constantly snapping the ball low to Jeff Lockie.

After TCU scored to make it 31-10, Oregon's Charles Nelson returned Jaden Oberkrom's kickoff 15 yards, only to be stripped of the ball before his knee hit the ground. Michael Downing recovered the fumble, giving the Horned Frogs the ball and great field position. They'd find the end zone on the drive to make it a two-score game.
