Fournette runs wild as LSU hammers Texas Tech to win Texas Bowl
Most people expected Leonard Fournette to run wild over the nation's 125th-ranked rush defense, and he did not disappoint in Tuesday's Texas Bowl against Texas Tech.
The LSU star ended the season in the same dominant fashion it began, scoring five touchdowns as the Tigers hammered the Red Raiders 56-27.
Fournette finished with 212 yards and four scores on the ground, and also added a 44-yard touchdown catch, the first of his career.

- Fournette's five touchdowns tied the NCAA record for most in a bowl game, and his four scores on the ground set a new school record for most rushing touchdowns in a season.
- The 212-yard total was the fourth time Fournette topped the 200 mark in his career.
- D.J. Chark, Darrel Williams and Brandon Harris also added rushing touchdowns, giving the Tigers seven on the night.
- Red Raiders quarterback Patrick Mahomes starred in the loss, throwing for 370 yards and four touchdowns, while also providing numerous highlights with his mobility all night.
- LSU's 25th-ranked rush defense dominated DeAndre Washington all game, holding the Red Raiders' leading rusher to just 37 yards on the ground.
- Jakeem Grant set a Texas Tech bowl record with three touchdown catches, and finished with 125 yards receiving in his college finale.

Fournette ran wild throughout the entire contest, but perhaps no highlight better sums up the domination than this monster run in the first quarter.
LSU finishes the season 9-3, and with Fournette returning and a top-three recruiting class coming to Baton Rouge, the Tigers are in good shape for a run at the College Football Playoff next season.
Texas Tech ends the campaign 7-6. Mahomes will return for his junior season, but the team has to shore up its disappointing defense if it hopes to improve in 2016.
