MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - Clemson defensive end Shaq Lawson says an injured left knee will not keep him out of the College Football Playoff National Championship Game on Jan. 11.

Lawson was hurt early in the Tigers' 37-17 semifinal win over Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl on Thursday. The Tigers declared him out of the game at halftime, and Lawson still had an ice pack strapped to his knee during the postgame celebration.

He says he spent the second half trying to help and lead teammates with his words on the sideline. Clemson's defense didn't skip a beat without him, holding Oklahoma scoreless after halftime.

Lawson says he'll get ''as much treatment as I need'' and be ready to play in the title game. He declined to offer specifics of the injury.
