Nebraska's defense stifled UCLA and held off a late push by the Bruins to secure a 37-29 win in the Foster Farms Bowl on Saturday night.

UCLA's slow start and missed opportunities cost the team the game, as a missed field goal, followed by a Josh Rosen interception sealed the Bruins fate.

The Huskers reversed their trend of bowl game struggles, coming away with their second win in their last six appearances, closing out the season at 6-7.

Here's what you need to know:

  • Nebraska outgained UCLA 500-386.
  • Huskers quarterback Tommy Armstrong finished 12-for-19 with 174 yards and one touchdown pass. He added 76 yards and one score rushing.
  • Two interceptions hurt Rosen's overall performance, but the freshman finished 26-for-40 with 319 yards and three touchdown passes.
  • Nebraska safety Nate Gerry was ejected for targeting in the second consecutive game.
  • UCLA running back Paul Perkins started the game with a 32-yard run followed by a touchdown, but finished with only 68 yards on 12 carries.
