Clemson's Bresee tears ACL, Shipley out 3-4 weeks
Clemson defensive tackle Bryan Bresee will miss the remainder of the season after tearing his ACL during Saturday's overtime loss to North Carolina State, head coach Dabo Swinney said Sunday, according to The Athletic's Grace Raynor.
Freshman running back Will Shipley also hurt his leg Saturday but didn't sustain an ACL injury, per The State's Alexis Cubit. He's reportedly expected to miss three-to-four weeks due to the ailment.
Bresee, a sophomore, has been a key member of the Tigers' defense this season, recording 12 tackles, three tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and an interception through four games.
Meanwhile, Shipley leads the team with 211 rushing yards and five touchdowns.
Swinney also said linebacker James Skalski is doing fine, despite the senior exiting Saturday's game in the first half with an undisclosed injury.
