The Heisman Trophy will be presented on Jan. 5 in a virtual ceremony, according to ESPN's Andrea Adelson.

The voting deadline is Dec. 21, with the finalists being announced in a 30-minute special on Dec. 24.

All Heisman finalists will take part from either their home or school. Past winners of college football's most prestigious prize are also expected to appear.

"Although college football may look and feel a lot different, there is no shortage of incredible talent on the gridiron this year," Heisman Trophy Trust president Mike Comerford said in a statement. "One thing the pandemic cannot change is the spirit of a true winner and we are eager to again celebrate that winner on the annual Heisman Trophy Ceremony."

The ceremony was pushed from December to January due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
