Melo Trimble is set to lead another Big Ten campaign.
The 6-foot-3 guard will return to Maryland for his sophomore season, the school announced Wednesday.
Trimble led the Terrapins in scoring last season, averaging 16.2 points, ranking in the top-five in the Big Ten conference. He also posted 3.9 rebounds and 3 assists.
"I am excited about spending another year with my teammates and building on what we accomplished this year," said Trimble. "I want to thank Coach Turgeon for helping my mom and I through this process. This was the best decision for me. Being a member of the Maryland basketball program has been an unbelievable experience and I can't wait to be back in front of the best fans in college basketball next season."
Trimble helped Maryland make its first NCAA tournament appearance since 2010.
