Saint Peter's star Doug Edert is transferring to Bryant, he told ON3's Joe Tipton on Saturday.

Edert was a key piece in No. 15 Saint Peter's magical run to the Elite Eight in this year's NCAA Tournament. He rose to fame after scoring 20 points, including multiple clutch baskets, in the Peacocks' overtime victory over No. 2 Kentucky in March Madness' Round of 64.

His late-game shotmaking contributed toward Saint Peter's becoming the first 15-seed to advance to the Elite Eight in tournament history.

The junior guard posted efficient shooting numbers over the 2021-22 season, ranking in the top-125 nationally in 3-point and free-throw percentages.

Edert will join a Bryant squad that won the NEC's automatic bid to the Big Dance, falling in a First Four game to Wright State.

The Bulldogs are expected to give Edert a sizable role on the team after losing senior Peter Kiss, who led the country in scoring at 25.2 points per game.
