Donald Sterling's son-in-law has voluntarily left the Los Angeles Clippers organization, according to new owner Steve Ballmer.

Eric Miller had served as director of basketball administration.

As part of the $2-billion sale of the Clippers to Ballmer, Miller was entitled to stay on board for two additional years under terms of employment comparable to when he worked under his father-in-law, Sterling.

"We welcomed Eric back," Ballmer said, via The Los Angeles Times. "He's chosen to move on with his life and that's his prerogative."

Miller and his wife, Sterling's daughter Joanna, both spoke out against the former Clippers owner after his recorded conversation with V. Stiviano became public.

Former team president, Andy Roeser, who made the ostensible mistake of defending Sterling in the days following the release of the recording, has also left the organization, according to the L.A. Times.

Ballmer is reportedly close to hiring a new team president to handle business operations. Doc Rivers holds the role of president of basketball operations in addition to his head coaching duties.
