Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma is on track to make his season debut Friday against the Dallas Mavericks, sources told Shams Charania of The Athletic.

He hasn't played this season due to a stress reaction in his foot. Kuzma first suffered the injury while with Team USA this summer.

The 24-year-old will be eased back into the Lakers' rotation, Charania adds.

Kuzma is expected to be a significant contributor to Los Angeles' squad that has title aspirations this campaign, albeit likely as a reserve rather than the starter he was in 2018-19.

Now in his third season, Kuzma has posted career averages of 17.3 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 0.4 blocks per game.
