Report: Finals run in 2020 could help Bucks re-sign Antetokounmpo

Advancing to the NBA Finals and possibly winning a championship in 2020 could go a long way in determining whether Giannis Antetokounmpo elects to remain with the Milwaukee Bucks on a new long-term contract, a league source told ESPN's Malika Andrews.

The 24-year-old superstar would have one year remaining on his current deal, and would be eligible for a super-max extension that is expected to be worth a record $247 million over five years.

The Bucks' playoff run came to an end Saturday night at Scotiabank Arena following a 100-94 loss in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals to the Toronto Raptors. It was Milwaukee's fourth consecutive loss after holding a 2-0 series lead.

Antetokounmpo abruptly left his postgame press conference after Andrews asked him a question about the importance of having postseason experience. He finished Game 6 with a double-double of 21 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and three blocks in 41 minutes of action.
