Death, taxes, and Russell Westbrook gets a triple-double.

The reigning NBA Most Valuable Player was at it again Sunday afternoon at the Air Canada Centre, recording his 23rd triple-double of the regular season and 103rd of his career as the Oklahoma City Thunder ended the Toronto Raptors' 11-game winning streak with a 132-125 road victory.

Westbrook finished with a line of 37 points, 13 rebounds, and 14 assists in 37 minutes of action, converting 15-of-22 from the field and knocking down his only attempt from behind the arc.

Basketball Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson - whom Westbrook surpassed in 2016-17 to claim the single-season record for most triple-doubles at 42 - is the only other player in history to have three career streaks of five triple-doubles or more.

The last player to even achieve a single run of that length was Michael Jordan in 1988-89 when he had seven in a row.

Heading into the matchup with Toronto, Westbrook needed to average 12.2 rebounds over Oklahoma City's remaining games to average a triple-double for a second consecutive season.
