New York Mets right-hander Noah Syndergaard appears unlikely to be traded due to the hefty price tag the team has attached to him, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan.

One general manager told Passan that the Mets are asking for "a few arms and a leg."

Syndergaard has been the subject of trade rumors since last year. The San Diego Padres have been mentioned as a potential suitor for the big righty on multiple occasions.

Syndergaard, who will be entering his third year of arbitration eligibility next season, is 7-4 with a 4.55 ERA and 1.24 WHIP in 112 2/3 innings in 2019.
