Crowd disturbances including racist behaviour in the stands during Dynamo Kyiv's Champions League match against Chelsea have led to charges against the Ukranian club.

Dynamo is facing three disciplinary charges from UEFA, the governing body confirmed in a statement obtained by various media outlets. One of the charges, for racist behaviour, stems from footage of an attack on four black supporters at the Olympic Stadium.

The video of the attack was submitted to the European governing body's disciplinary department after it was obtained by anti-discrimination network Fare.

"This terrible incident reflects many of the continuing realities of football in central and eastern Europe. A report has been made to UEFA, who have regulatory responsibility for the match, and we will be lobbying for the strongest sanctions," Fare's executive director, Piara Powar, said to The Guardian.

An official ruling and punishment is expected to be announced Oct. 27.
