Brock Nelson continues to step up for the New York Islanders.
Nelson recorded his first career hat trick to lead the Islanders to a 5-2 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old forward added an assist in the game for the second four-point night of his young NHL career.
He now holds the Islanders' goal-scoring lead with 17 in 43 games.
New York improved to 23-15-5 with the win, and will look to take over second place in the Metropolitan Division against the New York Rangers on Thursday.
