The Vancouver Canucks may be without forward Jake Virtanen for the foreseeable future.
General manager Jim Benning was on TSN Radio in Vancouver on Thursday, and said the rookie has a hip injury.
"(Virtanen's) got a hip pointer, he'll be out for a little bit," Benning said. "We don't know, we'll just have to see day to day how it improves, and how it heals, but he could be out, for, a week-to-week thing."
Virtanen was drafted sixth overall in 2014 and has a goal and three assists in 19 games.
