Max Pacioretty was on the ice and practicing with his Montreal Canadiens teammates for the first time as their captain Thursday morning, TVA Sports' Renaud Lavoie reports.
Pacioretty has been limited to light skates and off-ice rehabilitation in training camp after suffering multiple fractures just below his left knee in an offseason training mishap.
He was named the 29th captain in Canadiens franchise history earlier this month after a player vote.
The timeline for return from his injury was initially placed at 12 weeks, which put him on line to return just in time for the regular season.
