The Boston Bruins will be without David Krejci for the next four-to-six weeks after he suffered a partial tear of the MCL in his left knee, the team announced.
Krejci was injured in a collision with Alex Steen after he lined up the St. Louis Blues forward with an open-ice hit Friday night.

He entered the season with a nagging hip issue that's limited him to 38 games, missing the better part of six weeks through November. Krejci had returned to full duty, but was unable to capture his scoring touch, potting just seven goals and 19 points.
Aside from premier two-way pivot Patrice Bergeron, the Bruins are now considerably short up the middle as they cling to the final wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference postseason push.
