The Anaheim Ducks have placed goaltender Frederik Andersen on injured reserve, ruling him out through the weekend.
Andersen suffered an upper-body injury when the net crashed down on the back of his head in Sunday's loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning.
John Gibson has been recalled and will back up Ilya Bryzgalov, who will start Tuesday's clash with the Florida Panthers.
