The Chicago Blackhawks have a bit of a logjam at center. They already dealt a young center in Brandon Pirri for draft picks and are reportedly out of the quest for Vancouver Canucks forward Ryan Kesler.
Soctt Powers of ESPN reports the Blackhawks have been linked to Carolina Hurricanes center Manny Malhotra.

Malhotra made a comeback from a disastrous eye injury this season signing a one-year deal with the Hurricanes worth $600,000 after a tryout with the AHL's Charlotte Checkers.
Becoming a free agent at the end of the season at 34-years-old, Malhotra has 11 points in 50 games played.
