Colorado Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog won the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy and the Mark Messier Leadership Award, the league announced Tuesday.

The Masterton Trophy is given "to the player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to hockey." It's voted on by members of the PHWA.

Landeskog tallied 14 goals and 21 assists in 60 games in 2025-26 after missing the previous three regular seasons with a knee injury. He underwent three different knee surgeries in a span of 15 months, including a knee cartilage transplant in May 2023 that no NHLer had successfully returned from previously.

Winnipeg Jets forward Jonathan Toews and Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin were the other two finalists for the Masterton.

The Messier Award is given "to the player who exemplifies great leadership qualities to his team, on and off the ice, during the regular season, and who plays a leading role in his community growing the game of hockey." Messier chooses the winner.
