The Colorado Avalanche traded center Jack Drury, prospect Chase Bradley, and a 2029 third-round pick to the Nashville Predators for center Fedor Svechkov and winger Zachary L'Heureux, the teams announced Wednesday.

The trade marks the second deal between Avalanche president of hockey operations Joe Sakic and his former protege, Chris MacFarland, who now holds that same title with the Predators. Colorado sent Ross Colton to Nashville for a pair of third-round picks last week.

Drury is a pending restricted free agent with arbitration rights and can become unrestricted in 2027. The 26-year-old tallied 10 goals and 17 assists in 82 games last season while serving as a bottom-six center for the Avs. He also won 58.1% of his faceoffs and posted excellent defensive metrics.

Drury projects to slot in as Nashville's third-line center behind Ryan O'Reilly and Brady Martin.

Svechkov ($1.25-million AAV) and L'Heureux ($875,000 AAV) are both signed for two more years and will be restricted free agents at the end of their contracts.

The Predators drafted Svechkov 19th overall in 2021. He's registered 34 points in 122 career NHL games. However, the 23-year-old has been productive in the AHL with 26 goals and 33 assists in 80 appearances.

L'Heureux was also a first-round pick by the Predators in 2021, going eight picks after Svechkov at No. 27. The 23-year-old has managed 20 points and 262 hits in 87 career NHL games. Known as an agitator, L'Heureux projects to fill a fourth-line role for the Avs.

Bradley was a seventh-round pick by the Detroit Red Wings in 2020. The 24-year-old winger put up 12 points in 42 AHL games last season.
