Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Brayden McNabb has been suspended for one game following his hit on Anaheim Ducks forward Ryan Poehling in Tuesday's Game 5, the NHL's Department of Player Safety announced Wednesday.
McNabb stapled Poehling against the boards, even though the Ducks forward didn't have the puck. The Golden Knights veteran received a five-minute interference major and a game misconduct.

Poehling suffered an upper-body injury on the play and is out indefinitely.
This marks the first suspension of McNabb's 14-year NHL career.
Jeremy Lauzon projects to enter the lineup for Game 6 in place of McNabb, who's played almost exclusively alongside Shea Theodore this postseason.
