Andrew Mangiapane's tenure with the Edmonton Oilers could be coming to a premature end.

The Oilers, who made Mangiapane a healthy scratch Saturday for the second time in three games, are open to trading the forward, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.

The Anaheim Ducks are reportedly among the teams that have shown interest.

Edmonton signed Mangiapane to a two-year contract with a $3.6-million average annual value as a free agent this past offseason. His deal includes a full no-trade clause for this season.

Mangiapane has managed just five goals and six assists with a team-worst minus-17 rating in 40 games this campaign.

The 29-year-old scored a career-high 35 goals with the Calgary Flames in 2021-22. He's averaged 15 goals per season in the three years since.

Moving Mangiapane could free up valuable cap space for the Oilers to make additions at the trade deadline.
