The Anaheim Ducks re-signed restricted free-agent goaltender Lukas Dostal to a five-year contract, he announced Thursday.

The contract carries an average annual value of $6.5 million, reports Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.

The deal will make Dostal the NHL's 10th-highest paid active goalie for the 2025-26 season.

Dostal posted a .903 save percentage in 54 games last season. He ranked ninth among NHL netminders with 22.5 goals saved above expected, per Evolving-Hockey.

The 25-year-old owns a 42-58-13 record with a .902 save percentage across his four-year NHL career. The Ducks drafted him in the third round in 2018.

Dostal is expected to take on a larger workload in 2025-26 after Anaheim traded longtime starter John Gibson to the Detroit Red Wings in June. Petr Mrazek, who was part of the return package for Gibson, projects to serve as Dostal's backup.
